May 2015 - Officials at Spring Valley High School in Huntington, West Virginia had decided that enough was enough and searched for the best way to cut the schools $14,000 a month energy cost. The Director of Facilities and Maintenance knew that lighting was a large portion of that cost. With old T12 fluorescent fixtures and simple on/off controls there was quite a lot of room for improvement. Through the installation of LED lighting fixtures and low cost/high performance Greengate occupancy sensors the school was able to drastically lower their lighting costs. In fact the savings were so significant that the controls system had payed for itself less than a month after installation! To read the full case study click here.
May 2013 - The Kalahari Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio is used for a wide variety of events from large corporate events to weddings. The flexibility of the space necessitated a lighting control system that could keep up with the spaces requirements. Luckily, they specified an Ilumin Architectural Controls System. With over 100 zones of control and mobile controls, the Ilumin system allows both staff and guests to easily and seamlessly adjust the lighting in each space to the next event.
